Obama to Participate in LinkedIn Town Hall on Jobs Monday

Have a question for President Obama on jobs and the economy? This could be your chance to get an answer. The president is heading to the West Coast to take part in a LinkedIn town hall on the topic Sept. 26. Speaking before an audience of LinkedIn members and employees in Mountain View, Calif., Obama will answer an array of questions, including some submitted by LinkedIn members across the country.

LinkedIn has created a community page dedicated to jobs and the economy; and there, members can post questions for the "Putting America Back to Work" town hall or share comments.

"This group will serve as a platform for LinkedIn users to continue the discussion on putting America back to work and provide opportunities for LinkedIn members to engage with the White House and administration officials following the town hall," the White House said in a statement Tuesday.

The event will be streamed live on the White House website and on LinkedIn.

In another attempt to engage with people online, the White House on Thursday launched its We the People page, giving individuals 13 and older an opportunity to petition the administration online and drum up support for their issues of interest via social media.
